The Journey to Athens
After Theseus is able to lift a giant stone and retrieve the items his father, Aegeus, left him, he begins his journey to Athens. Throughout his journey he encounters many obstacles, including Periphetes, Sins, Sciron, and Procrustes, all of which he defeats. When he finally reaches Athens, his father does not recognize him. However, Medea, Aegeus' wife, plotted to kill him. However, Aegeus recognized Theseus's items that he got from his father, and stopped Medea.
